There is a need for formal evaluation of childhood developmental needs throughout the state. Early intervention and parent support for of children with special needs is essential. Mental health issues affecting a person's thinking, feeling, behavior or mood impact the ability to lead a healthy life and ability to have healthy relationships Many adults can experience undiagnosed and untreated adult attention deficit disorders that manifest with a variety of mental health issues.
ELDER CARE
SERVICES
Wyoming is one of the most rapidly aging states. The over 65 population is expected to increase by over 50 percent by 2030. Service needs of the aging population include assessment, care, and treatment needs for dementia, stroke and cognitive issues for individuals and for caretakers. Healthy aging, in place, is a goal for Wyoming senior services to delay or prevent long term service needs. There is also a need for psychological support services in assisted living settings.
